Trina Sued For $50 Million Over Allegedly Backing Out Of Appearance

Trina has been sued for $50 million in damages over allegedly pulling out of an agreement to appear as a judge during an event called “America’s Next Top Rapper.”

According to Courthouse News Service, Omnipresent Media and Lawrence “Amar” Wright filed suit against the Miami rapstress, her managing agent Rarebreed Entertainment, its principal Josh Burke, the State of Florida and J Ego Entertainment and Nunoise Travel.

The suit claims that Trina agreed to judge the online streaming video platform and competition where aspiring rappers compete to win $20,000, a Universal distribution deal and a “hit production team,” among other rewards.

Omnipresent, which throws the competition, said that Trina agreed to judge and then backed out of the show, which was to be held on December 30, 2011. The problem began when Trina and management allegedly failed to send promotional videos for organizers to promote the event. Omnipresent says that its promotions “generated significant traffic on the blogs of major entertainment networks, including BET and MTV.”

Trina and management then asked for more money and that the taping would not be publicly broadcasted. Her travel agent then said that she would not appear to judge unless the company paid her travel expenses. Omnipresent says it agreed, but she still didn’t provide the promo videos. Because of her absence, Omnipresent says that some attendees became “unruly” and “heckled competition participants.”

Man seconds from fatal train strike on NY Post cover (Picture included of man off platform)

The New York Post advanced the recent trend of shocking news covers by printing a photo of a man in the path of a Times Square subway moments before he was struck and killed.

Tuesday’s edition had “DOOMED” in bold, white print over the image of the man standing in the path of an oncoming train that was just feet away.

Ki Suk Han, 58, a resident of Queens, unsuccessfully tried to climb back onto the platform after a deranged man who frequents the subway shoved him onto the tracks. The two had been arguing minutes before the incident.

According to witnesses, the train dragged Han several feet and crushed him to death.

Freelance photographer R. Umar Abbasi was on the platform working on an unrelated project for the newspaper, according to a video posted on its website.

“I saw somebody from the side of my eyes being pushed onto the platform,” Abbasi said. “There was a huge gasp from all the spectators.”

Abbasi said he fired the flash on his camera several times to warn the train driver, but at that point he was too close to come to a timely stop.

According to the Post, a second-year resident at Beth Israel Medical Center attended to Han, but he never took a breath. He was pronounced dead later at a hospital.

Neb. teen arrested after bragging of bank robbery on YouTube (VIDEO INCLUDED)

A YouTube video has led to the arrest of a suspected bank robber in Nebraska.

Police say Hannah Sabata, 19, posted a 7-minute video shortly after she says she robbed a bank. In it, she flashes more than $6,000 that she says was stolen and even gives details about how the crime was committed. Additionally, she’s wearing the same shirt on the suspect in the surveillance video.

View the video. (Warning: The beginning of the video contains brief marijuana use.)

Surprisingly, it was not the YouTube video that first tipped off police. They say Sabata also sent out a text message to all of her friends bragging about the heist. One of those friends alerted authorities.

In the video description on the YouTube page, Sabata wrote, “I just stole a car and robbed a bank. Now I’m rich, I can pay off my college financial aid and tomorrow i’m going for a shopping spree. Bite me. I love GREENDAY!”

Airport worker accused of throwing eggs at Saints bus quits

An official with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport told CBS Atlanta News on Monday that the lone airport restaurant worker who was responsible for egging a New Orleans Saints bus has quit his job.

It all started Wednesday with a tweet from Saints tight end Jimmy Graham. He tweeted, “Bus got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy! “RISE Up” smh.”

Myrna White said the employee, who she did not name, is suspected of hitting the charter bus with two or three eggs.

Department of Aviation officials at the airport confirmed that after being questioned by police, the employee quit his job.

Officials said the employee’s security badge has been deactivated, revoking all access to the airport, and the company will be fined.

The Department of Aviation has now closed its investigation.

Lil JoJo’s Mother Blames Chief Keef For Son’s Death

Even though it’s been months since Chicago up-and-comer Lil JoJo was killed in a fatal shooting. Now, in a recent interview with BET, the mother of the slain rapper speaks on Chief Keef’s possible involvement in the case.

Robin Russel, the mother of the late Lil JoJo, said that she believes Chief Keef is directly involved in the death of her son. She said that while she doesn’t believe Keef actually pulled the trigger on her son, she explained that she believes he paid someone off for the murder.

“Chief Keef [is responsible]…I don’t believe him, himself pulled the trigger but I believe he paid somebody to do it,” she said. “I would like justice to come from this and to show kids it’s a better way to get an education and yes, I fear for my own life. [Police] have a couple leads, they’re still working on it.”

Nicki Minaj Demands Hot 97 Not Play Her Music Anymore

Despite patching things up after this year’s Summer Jam fiasco, it looks like Nicki Minaj is at odds with Hot 97 once again. Now, in a recent interview with Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg, Hot 97′s program director Ebro says Nicki told him she doesn’t want the station playing anymore of her music.

Ebro explained that the most recent tiff with Minaj began after he said that Rosenberg’s comments ruined her career when her rap-heavy Pink Friday Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up only moved 36,000 units upon its release. According to Ebro, the YMCMB starlet called him from overseas, insulted him and demanded he never play her music on air again.

“I said, ‘Rosenberg ruined Nicki Minaj’s career’ – evidence suggests based on this Re-Up release, the things [Rosenberg] said about her being pop and selling out and making that pop music came back to haunt her,” he said. “Now, she puts six rap records on this album and it didn’t sell…I get the phone call, the international number pops up, I answer the call, it’s my friend Nicki Minaj, who then starts to proclaim how I’m fake. She used every woman’s stab she could – ‘I thought you were a man, you’re a cornball, I thought we were friends, you’re fake, everyone told me you were fake’…I said, ‘Nicki, I’m helping you. I’m keeping you in the Hip Hop conversation. This Hip Hop thing’s a competition; you’re either ringing, or you’re not, and just like I said yesterday, i love you, boo and I’ll dust you off and make sure this thing is popping off again.’ And she goes, ‘Don’t ever play my music again’…of course we are [still playing Nicki Minaj], I love Nicki Minaj.”

Joe Budden Kicks Out Concert Attendee Following A Comment They Made On Twitter

A concertgoer in Oakland, California was unexpectedly escorted out of a Joe Budden show yesterday (November 28) after Tweeting about how “dead” it was at the New Jersey rapper’s concert. HipHopWired.com reports that the woman, who was attending the show with a friend, sent numerous Tweets expressing her disinterest with seeing Budden perform.

She even went so far as to post a picture of a package of NoDoz caffeine tablets on her Twitter page along with the caption, “For the Budden concert tonight.”

Budden somehow discovered the less than enthusiastic Tweets and reportedly informed security that he would not perform unless the woman was escorted from the venue.

“So we are upstairs at VIP [and the] security asks me if I’m Paige,” said the woman via Twitter, according to HipHopWired.com. “I said, ‘yes.’ And they say ‘Joe Budden wants you out. I feel flattered though, they said they showed my twitter picture and found me in the club.”

The Slaughterhouse spitter has yet to respond to the incident via Twitter or through any other public outlet.

Police: Fake security guard asks girl to disrobe at Walmart

Waynesville police said they are looking for a man who pretended to be a security guard at a Walmart on Saturday and asked a girl to disrobe.

Investigators said the girl told officers that a man, who identified himself as a security guard, approached her and accused her of shoplifting. They said the man then led the girl into an aisle where he had arranged boxes to create a semi-private area. They said the man then told the girl to pull down her pants and underwear. They said that when the girl refused, the man then began asking the girl sexually explicit questions.

Police said surveillance video showed that the man had followed the girl around the store for nearly a half-hour before he approached her.

The man was described as white, in his 40s, with brown, possibly thinning hair.

Police said the man was in the store between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. with a woman in her mid- to late-60s who had bright red hair. They said the pair may have been driving in a tan or silver, early 2000 model Chevrolet Tahoe.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call the Waynesville Police Department at 828-456-5363.
